Please share this information as much as you can and be a part of #cancerfreeindia mission of #canprotectfoundation
Always, always go for a complete medical examination once a year, the moment you hit your twenties, especially if you’ve had (or have) a family history of cancer – doesn’t matter if it wasn’t breast cancer in particular, doesn’t matter if it wasn’t in your immediate family.
It hardly takes a day worth of your time, and I cannot stress hard enough on how much of a difference early detection of breast cancer can make. Don’t wait for a visible lump to show up, because sometimes, they show up in a later stage and the prognosis might not turn out good for you, then.
Again, you can end up with breast cancer, even if you follow a healthy lifestyle, and have no traces of cancer of any form, in your family tree.
Encourage the women in your family to go for an annual medical routine check-up, because we often have the tendency to ignore the slightest discomfort and pain.
